The score serves as means to disrupt habits of being\, claiming power and agency. Three white fans and large moving boxes frame the performance space\, constantly shifting location and metaphorical expression. \nWebsite: www.rebekahchappell.com \n\nMandi Moore & Olivia Meeks / Filtering\n“Filtering”\nChoreographed by Mandi Moore & Olivia Meeks\nMusic by Zach Moore \n \n“Filtering” is an exploration and abstraction on the Cocktail Party Effect\, which is when one can focus one’s auditory attention on a particular stimulus while filtering out a range of other stimuli. To reach this effect\, we use movement\, mirror-like objects\, and original music to stimulate the audience. \n\nMary Beth Nolan / A Solo\nA Solo will debut in Greensboro’s Fringe Festival 2019; a work inspired by thoughts\, feelings\, and experiences post-graduation. \n \nI am using this process to exercise my choreographic skills on myself to present to the public since I have never choreographed nor performed it in front of an audience. It is a piece that showcases challenges I have and continue to face as an artist in everyday life. With no prominent meaning\, it is a chance for me to discover movement for my body and your eyes. \n\nDanielle Kinne / Father Waiting Time\nRemembering\, letting go\, holding on\, forgiving\, saying goodbye and moving forward.. \nPhoto Credit: sskettering photography\nThis work is about remembering the good and bad\, letting go of the physical\, holding onto the past\, and saying goodbye. As I watched my father sleeping in his hospital bed\, I sifted through feelings of guilt\, anger\, loss and resentment.
